The 2024/25 Ninja A-League Women’s season is just days away, with Western United set to make a powerful season debut against Wellington Phoenix at Ironbark Fields. The high-stakes clash, scheduled for Friday, November 1, at 7:00 pm AEDT, promises an exciting start to the Club’s third season as the squad brings renewed energy and ambition to the field.

Building on Past Success for a Historic Season

Following consecutive finals appearances in the past two seasons, head coach Kat Smith and her team have their sights set on taking the club to new heights. Western United’s “Green and Black” fans in Tarneit are expected to come out in full force, rallying behind a squad eager to push boundaries in this year’s competition.

Chloe Logarzo, the Club’s star midfielder, is set to make her long-anticipated debut at Ironbark Fields. Having missed last season’s home fixtures, the accomplished Matildas player is primed to impress on home turf. Logarzo, who recorded nine goals and three assists in 17 appearances last season, returns with heightened ambition, aiming to deliver yet another standout performance.

New Signings Add Flair and Defensive Strength

Western United’s roster has taken on a fresh look this season with the addition of dynamic talent ready to dazzle in the league. Colombian forward Sandra Ibarguen joins the lineup, promising flair and precision in the attack, while young talents Kahli Johnson and Catherine Zimmerman offer speed and skill up front.

The defense also remains robust, led by Grace Maher and Alana Cerne, who will be joined by promising newcomers Sasha Grove, Isabel Dehakiz, and Sara Eggesvik. With every home match set to unfold at Ironbark Fields, the Club anticipates an exhilarating season kickoff next Friday, bolstered by their new recruits and unwavering fan support.
