In a crushing display of offensive power, Melbourne City stormed to a 5-0 victory over Perth Glory at HBF Park on Sunday, firmly establishing their place as A-League title contenders. Second Half – Melbourne City Ramps Up Pressure with More Goals

Any hopes of a Perth comeback were dashed moments after the second half began. A lapse in Glory’s defense gifted Austrian Andreas Kuen a chance, and he wasted no time in slotting home City’s third goal. Despite a near-miss from Glory’s Adam Taggart, who sent a 20-meter shot just wide, Perth could not find a way past City’s disciplined defense.

As the game neared its end, Cohen added a fourth goal, curling a shot into the far corner after cutting in from the right. Then, in the 88th minute, Memeti sealed the victory by tapping in his first senior goal, putting the final touch on an impressive performance by the visiting side.
