Western United Unveils Historic Partnership with Red Bull Australia
Western United has announced a groundbreaking partnership with Red Bull Australia, making the energy drink giant the club’s Official Energy Drink Partner. This historic collaboration marks the first time an A-League club has aligned with Red Bull, which is globally renowned for its involvement in sports through its Formula One team and football clubs RB Salzburg (Austria) and RB Leipzig (Germany).
The partnership aims to elevate the fan experience, starting at Western United’s A-League Men’s season home opener against Juan Mata’s Western Sydney Wanderers on Sunday, October 27. Fans will witness a thrilling aerobatic performance by Emma McDonald over Ironbark Fields, where Red Bull will also enhance matchdays with its signature event vehicle and DJ setup.
Adding to the excitement, one lucky Western United member will have the chance to experience a once-in-a-lifetime co-pilot adventure the day after the match, a prize as part of the club’s Member Week celebration.
Western United Chairman Jason Sourasis expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership:
“We are delighted to partner with Red Bull and align with such a dominant and world-renowned consumer brand. We have pledged our commitment to making the matchday experience at Ironbark Fields one of the best in the league, and our work with Red Bull will help us achieve this.”
Sourasis emphasized that the collaboration is designed to provide fans with world-class, unforgettable experiences, making each matchday at Ironbark Fields truly special.
The partnership doesn’t stop with fan engagement. Red Bull will also work closely with the club’s teams to explore how their products can be integrated into the players’ routines to support performance.
Western United’s A-League Women’s team, coached by Kat Smith, will kick off their 2024-25 campaign at home against Wellington Phoenix on November 1, following the men’s team opener, led by John Aloisi, who will take on Wellington Phoenix away on October 20.
