MELBOURNE (May 2025) – The squad lists are set for Saturday’s Isuzu UTE A-League Grand Final at AAMI Park, with Melbourne Victory receiving a timely boost as young fullback Kasey Bos returns from injury to feature in Arthur Diles’ extended squad.

Victory’s Selection Dilemma

Bos, who missed Victory’s semifinal second leg against Auckland FC with a foot injury, has been cleared for selection. However, Socceroos attacker Nishan Velupillay remains in doubt after suffering an ankle injury during their 2-0 semifinal victory.

“We’ll give him until the 11th hour,” Diles said at Wednesday’s press conference. “At this stage, it’s 50-50. He’s walking better, but being match-fit for a final is different.”

Victory’s squad sees three inclusions: Bos, Adama Traore and Fabian Monge return, with Brendan Hamill their only long-term absentee.

City’s Settled Squad

Melbourne City enter the decider with minimal changes, welcoming back academy products Lawrence Wong (from injury) and Harry Shillington to their extended squad.

Head coach Aurelio Vidmar will omit two players from his 21-man roster, with Jimmy Jeggo (Achilles) and Andrew Nabbout (knee) among their unavailable players.
