Auckland FC’s Inaugural Fan Representative Group
Auckland FC has launched its inaugural Fan Representative Group (FRG), a groundbreaking initiative aimed at fostering direct engagement between the club and its supporters. The FRG provides a platform for fans to share feedback, present ideas, and stay informed about club developments while influencing its future direction.
Building a Community Connection
True to its identity as a community-focused club, Auckland FC established the FRG to ensure that every voice is heard. Whether you’re a family cheering from the stands with your young children or an ardent member of The Port supporters’ group, the FRG unites fans from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
Currently, the group consists of eight passionate members with space for two additional supporters to join. The FRG will convene at least four times a year, reflecting the club’s commitment to maintaining an open dialogue with its fans.
A Promising Start
The first FRG meeting took place in late November, setting the stage for a productive collaboration. Discussions centered on the season’s opening performance, and insights from a recent membership survey were shared.
Tim Adams, Chairman of Ellerslie FC, was elected Chair of the FRG. As part of his role, Adams will represent Auckland FC in the A-Leagues FRG, a league-wide forum chaired by A-Leagues Commissioner Nick Garcia. This broader FRG serves as a platform for fan representatives from all 12 A-League clubs to discuss league operations and provide input on proposed changes.
A Call to Action
The FRG empowers Auckland FC fans to shape the club’s future actively. If you have feedback, suggestions, or concerns, now is your chance to make your voice heard. Submit your thoughts through the feedback form provided by the club and help drive meaningful change in how Auckland FC operates.
