New Zealand continues to dominate the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) as the highest-ranked women’s team in the latest FIFA Coca-Cola Women’s World Rankings. However, despite holding their regional crown, the Football Ferns have dropped one spot globally, moving to 32nd.

Minor Shifts Across OFC Rankings

With no OFC teams in action during the most recent international window, changes in the rankings were minimal. Tonga made the most notable move, climbing two spots to reach 95th, while Samoa rose one place to break into the top 100. Despite these shifts, New Zealand remains firmly at the top of the OFC rankings.

Looking Ahead: OFC Women’s Nations Cup 2025

The region’s top teams will turn their attention to next year’s OFC Women’s Nations Cup, set to take place in Fiji from July 4–19, 2025. The tournament will not only crown Oceania’s best but also provide an essential platform for teams to prepare for the upcoming FIFA Women’s World Cup™ 2027 qualifiers.

World Cup Qualification Kicks Off in Cook Islands

The road to the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup begins in late November 2025, with the first round of qualification matches to be held in the Cook Islands. These matches will be crucial for OFC teams looking to make their mark on the global stage.
