APL Unveils Unite Round 2024/25 Plans for Ultimate Football Weekend in Sydney
The Australian Professional Leagues (APL) has officially announced an exciting lineup of grassroots activities, fan zones, and exclusive experiences set to take center stage at Unite Round 2024/25. This year’s event is billed as the ‘ultimate away day’ and promises an unforgettable experience for fans across Australia.
In less than a month, Sydney will play host to all 12 A-League Women and Men matches across two iconic venues. Leichhardt Oval will offer a family-friendly atmosphere, while Allianz Stadium will present a one-of-a-kind sports experience, creating an electrifying festival of football.
Unite Round’s Schedule and Fan Experience Zones
The second edition of Unite Round is scheduled for the weekend of November 22-24, featuring fan zones and grassroots activities designed to enhance the fan experience. Unite Round 2024/25 will feature a central Fan Zone at Moore Park, positioned between Allianz Stadium and the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG), making it the perfect pit-stop for fans to kick off their matchday experience.
The Moore Park Fan Zone will bring fans together with interactive activities like the ‘Soccer AM’ Top Bins Challenge, a SharkNinja Chill Out Zone with giant screens broadcasting matches live, and a 20-Year Celebration Walk highlighting memorable A-Leagues moments. There will also be a Giant Mitre Official Match Ball photo station and resident DJs spinning live music.
Leichhardt Oval’s Family-Focused Fan Zone
Leichhardt Oval will exclusively host all six A-League Women’s matches, creating a vibrant, family-focused experience. This fan zone will include games for kids, live music, and delicious local food, providing fans with a perfect way to enjoy matchday in a relaxed, family-friendly setting.
Grassroots Initiatives – Girls Unite Gala Day and Unite Cup
Adding to the weekend’s activities, Unite Round will host the Girls Unite Gala Day – an exclusive event dedicated to fostering a supportive environment for girls interested in football. Held on November 23-24, this event will include coaching clinics, small-sided games, and photo opportunities with the A-League Women’s trophy. Each participant will also receive a ticket to an A-League Women’s double-header at Leichhardt Oval.
For young players of all abilities, the Unite Cup tournament offers a unique opportunity for youth teams from across Australia to showcase their skills. Hosted at Moore Park West, this three-day small-sided tournament will feature competitions for boys and girls from Under-8 to Under-12 age groups, celebrating the next generation of football talent.
Travel and Accommodation Options for Fans
Every ticket to Unite Round includes free public transportation within NSW from Friday to Sunday, allowing fans to travel seamlessly using Sydney Metro, Light Rail, ferries, buses, and trains. Shuttle buses will also connect Leichhardt Oval and Allianz Stadium for easy movement between the two hubs, while additional buses will run from Newcastle and the Central Coast.
The APL’s official accommodation partner, IHG Hotels and Resorts, is offering a special discount of up to 15% on select hotels for fans attending Unite Round.

Tickets for Unite Round 2024/25 are available through Ticketek, offering options for Club Members and the General Public. Full Season Club Members can access complimentary tickets for their club’s double-header matches, plus a 10% discount on other Unite Round matches.
